Man taken to hospital after Uber and car plough into Manchester garden in dramatic smash

Firefighters had to cut a man free from the wreckage following the smash in Fallowfield just before midnight on Saturday. The man, thought to have been a passenger in the cab, was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Pictures from the scene show firefighters and paramedics gathered around the Skoda taxi while the other car, believed to be a Volkswagen, is on two wheels having ploughed into a hedge in the same garden on Yew Tree Road, near the junction with Hart Road Debris was seen scattered across the road and pavement.
