Biker taken to hospital after three-vehicle crash in east Manchester

Emergency services were called to the smash on Ashton Old Road, in Openshaw, just after 7.30am this morning (Wednesday). Two cars and a motorbike collided, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said.

The biker, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital from the scene. He suffered serious leg injuries. Police closed off part of Ashton Old Road near the junction with Louisa Street after the crash.
