A son pleaded "don't let my dad die" after a man was tragically run over by his own car as it rolled downhill. CCTV shows the unnamed victim, 69, helping his son, believed to be aged 25, and their pet dog into a white Kia Sportage on Saturday.

The man opens the boot to put the dog in the car and, as the second person gets in, the motor begins to roll backwards downhill.

He can be seen attempting to stop the car from rolling but tragically falls under the weight of it before being crushed to death.

The man is believed to have travelled from Manchester to visit Seven Acres Country Park in Bolton for a walk. Have you been affected by this story?
