A man who was viciously attacked by a mother and her son suffered a bleed on the brain, a court has heard. Alan Cameron was punched in the face by Donna Hand before her son Callum and his friend Mark Webster kicked and stamped on him.
Mr Cameron was later sedated in hospital where he was treated for a bleed to the brain, reports the Echo. Donna Hand then lied to police when they knocked at her son's home address in St Helens and asked where her son was following the attack, Sarah Griffin, prosecuting, told Liverpool Crown Court.Ms Griffin told a hearing how Callum Hand, 21, and Webster had been out for a walk with Mr Cameron and returned to Silkstone Close at around 11pm on August 1, 2020.When Donna Hand saw her son she noticed bruising to his face.The 50-year-old then left her house followed by her son.
She went up to Mr Cameron and punched him in the face.Ms Griffin then described how Callum Hand and Webster, 32, launched an attack on Mr Cameron.
Mr Cameron's partner Lisa Greenall said that she thought he was dead after the two men left him "covered in blood."Ms Greenall had said that Mr Cameron had been drinking with Hand and Webster earlier in the day.
