Police hunting for man after car set alight on Lanarkshire street during early hours of the morning

Police are hunting for a man after a car was set on fire in Coatbridge during the early hours of the morning.The incident is being treating as "wilful fireraising" but fortunately no-one suffered any injuries.Officers responded at around 3am this morning, June 7, following the report of a car on fire at an address in the town's Roseburn Cottages.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Detective Constable Lisa McMullen, of Lanarkshire CID, told Lanarkshire Live : “Thankfully, nobody has been injured as a result of this incident. “Although this happened in the early hours of the morning, we would appeal to anyone who has any information surrounding the fire to come forward and speak to police.“I would also ask if you notice anyone matching this description or acting suspicious in the area that you get in touch with officers.”Police can be contacted on 101, quoting incident number 0313 of Tuesday, June 7.
