Man sitting alone in car attacked by thugs armed with air rifle
manchestereveningnews.co.ukhereThe attack happened just before 4.50pm on Saturday (August 30) in Oldham.Officers were to the scene following a report of a “disturbance” on Lime Green Parade, off Elm Road, in the Limeside area of the town.Two men, aged 26 and 55, were arrested on suspicion of assault.Both have since been released on bail.Eyewitnesses said there was a huge police presence in the area and reported that armed officers were part of the response.A GMP spokesperson said: “Just before 4.50pm on Saturday 30 August, police were called to a report of a disturbance on Lime Green Parade, Oldham.“Officers attended and enquiries established that a man, aged 38, was sat in his car when two men approached him and smashed the car window before hitting him with an air.
