A man had surgery to remove a "huge" nose growth which stopped him leaving the house in daylight - unless he wore a motorbike helmet.
Former Navy sailor Ian Arthur, 64, originally from Manchester, began developing enlarged, red bumps on his nose more than ten years ago, and he sought medical advice.
His GP diagnosed Ian with rosacea, a skin condition causing redness and sensitivity, and prescribed a treatment - but his nose continued to expand.
Prior to the Covid lockdowns, Ian sought treatment a second time, and was prescribed an ointment and a chemical scrub - again, to no avail.
