A man was rushed to hospital after a 'machete' attack which caused a serious arm injury.Police said they were initially called to reports of a fight between two women, who were passengers in separate cars on a street in Birkenhead, Liverpool between 5.45pm and 6.15pm.
It's believed the two women returned to their cars.However it is reported a short time later, at around 6.20pm, a second fight took place on a car park close to Heron Foods and the Coach and Horses pub on Hoylake Road.
During this incident a 44-year-old man was slashed to the arm with a bladed weapon, reports Liverpool Echo.The man was taken to hospital where his injuries were described as serious.
He remains in a stable condition.A 35-year-old woman has now been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm.
