A man who hurled racist abuse at passengers on a bus in Manchester has been locked up. Darren Cuthbertson was travelling on a bus from London to Leeds when he started shouting the abuse, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The 47-year-old had been drinking alcohol during the journey. He was asked to mind his language but continued to hurl out the vile abuse.

Cuthbertson later punched a wall while in the custody suite and caused damage to the cell door. He made no comment when interviewed by police, the CPS said.
