DevonLive reports.A number of firefighters were called to the man's rescue at about 5pm on Thursday, April 1. A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire Service told DevonLive: "It turned out he was able to walk away of his own accord so it was a false alarm really."No reason has been given for why the man had his hand in the cash machine to begin with, or whether it may have been an elaborate April Fool's Day prank.It is not thought that he sustained any injuries from the ATM.Devon and Somerset Fire Service has been approached by the Daily Star for more information about the incident.
