Join thousands of others who have signed up to our Record Sport newsletter.Vale Juniors boss Brian Brown has given his backing to plans to start the new West of Scotland League season in July.The inaugural season of the all-new league was declared null and void last month, with bosses now eyeing plans for the new season to start on July 17 - assuming restrictions allow.And Brown believes it’s important that competitive action can resume as soon as possible.He told the Lennox: “I think it’s important that we get back as quickly as we can after being given the green light.“As soon as restrictions are lifted a wee bit then I’ll be able to get my players who are a bit further afield into training.
