Manchester City made it a winning return to Premier League action on a night Arsenal defender David Luiz will want to forget in a hurry.
Luiz was introduced as a first-half substitute but it was his mistake that allowed Raheem Sterling to open the scoring before the Brazilian was later shown a straight red for fouling Riyad Mahrez in the box.
Just as the half looked set to end goalless, Sterling seized on Arsenal substitute Luiz's inability to deal with a Kevin De Bruyne pass and lashed home from close range before wheeling off and celebrating with his team-mates.
