Manchester City star Rodri insists football doesn't count while thousands of people continue to die around the world from Covid-19.
Top level football has been suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the Premier League season not resuming until it is deemed safe to do so.
The German Bundesliga has been given the green light to start again in less than two weeks time, offering English football fans hope that the top flight might be able to do the same in June.
But Rodri admits the game means little while the killer virus continues to destroy lives and the Spanish international said: "It's a very difficult situation for everyone, not only in Spain, but around the whole world.
