Benjamin Mendy has thanked fans for their messages of support after he self-isolated over coronavirus fears. The Manchester City defender took to Instagram to say the results have been negative 'for those around' him, and he urged fans to take precautions against the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
On Thursday, a City spokesman said: "The club is aware that a family member of a senior men’s team player is in hospital with symptoms of a respiratory illness. "He has undergone tests at hospital one of which is for Covid-19.
Until the results are known, the player in question is self isolating as a precaution.” Now, Mendy posted a video to Instagram with the caption: "Good morning, everyone.
