A man is due to appear in court after being charged with sending an 'offensive and indecent' message to MP Angela Rayner. David Perry, 66, from Surrey, has been charged with sending a grossly offensive message and an indecent message under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in a statement issued this afternoon (Tuesday, March 21). GMP said they relate to an email sent on Monday, May 2, 2022 to Ms Rayner, who is the MP for Ashton-under-Lyne in Tameside and is also the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and Shadow Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. Read more of today's top stories here READ NEXT:
