A man has been charged with the rape of a woman in Bolton town centre. Layth Alkalifa, 22, of Tonge Moor, has been charged with rape and has been remanded in custody to appear at Bolton Crown Court in May.
Police say the charge related to an incident on March 16 where a woman was raped by a man who was unknown to her, on Bradshawgate in the town centre.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers and partner agencies. A GMP Bolton North spokesman said: "Detectives in Bolton have charged a man with rape.
