A man was attacked by a seagull after picking it up and recording a selfie video with the bird.The man, who appears to be heading home after a night out in the clip, holds the bird against his shoulder with one hand on the streets of Edinburgh.The gull looks and begins to peck at his cheek furiously while he films.

The man is wearing a blue t-shirt in the video and walks down what appears to be the city's York Place, with the gull in his arms, close to his face.In a clip shared online, he says: "I'm just walking down the middle of Edinburgh with a wee f***** seagull, How are you doing? "My wee gully.

Ah you f**** b****** it just bit me in the cheek." The gull isn't happy with being manhandled and continues to aggressively peck at the man's face.The man is upset by the attack and screams: "Ah you f*****" again and again".

The clip has racked up hundreds of likes and over 6000 views on TikTok.As reported by our sister title, Edinburgh Live, one social media user joked: "You better watch out, that's Steven the Seagull." Another said: "Why, just why?" While one added: "It takes skills to befriend a seagull, well done."Last month the title reported how Edinburgh locals had been 'under attack' from dive bombing seagulls outside their homes in Dalry.
