And the former Leicester City boss hasn't been shy in showing the love to the veteran defender throughout the years - and that bromance with the Northern Ireland international could pave the way for a move to Parkhead.
Reports south of the border claim that the 35-year-old is on the Scottish Premiership radar with Rodgers keen to bring Evans in to add competition for Ange Postecoglou's first-choice pairing Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt.
Stephen Welsh and Yuki Kobayashi are also options at centre-back, while Tomoki Iwata can also drop into the heart of the defence.
