A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was found unconscious and seriously injured in the front garden of a house.
Five arrests have now been made by Greater Manchester Police after the woman, 49, was discovered critically injured in Newton Heath on Saturday morning.
She was taken to hospital fighting for her life, but police haven't given an update on her condition as they confirmed news of the latest arrest.
The woman, who hasn't been named, was discovered in the garden of a property on Rosebank Road in Newton Heath at about 9.30am on Saturday.
