Two teenage girls were hurt after a fight broke out at at the Old Trafford Manchester United football stadium. Police were called to the stadium on Friday, February 4, shortly before 9pm.
It is understood the incident broke out during the Manchester United vs Middlesbrough match, near the VIP suites. READ MOREPolice search woodland 'for body of missing person from many years ago' The two girls, both aged 15, were assaulted after a male became involved in a fight at the stadium, on Sir Matt Busby Way.
The male in question, a 36-year-old, was later arrested on suspicion of common assault. No medical attention was required following the incident.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At 8.50pm on Friday 4 February 2022, police were called to reports of an assault at Old Trafford. "Enquiries have established that a man became involved in a fight which resulted in two girls aged 15 being assaulted. "No one required medical attention.
