A man has been arrested after a car ploughed into a home, leaving the front wall and windows 'collapsing', according to eyewitnesses.
The crash caused 'significant structural damage', emergency services have confirmed after they rushed to the scene in Hazel Grove, Stockport, last night (July 12).
Police, firefighters and Electricity North West were called to the scene in Peveril Drive at around 4.40pm on Friday. Officers taped off the road as investigations were launched and attempts were made to make the scene safe.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage while drink driving. The car collided with the home and went into the front wall, bystanders told the M.E.N, who say 'the whole porch has gone'.
