Two people have been arrested after a mum-of-three died six weeks after a suspected hit-and-run crash. Katherine West was hit by a black Peugeot 3008 as she crossed the road in Hindley, Wigan, on November 5, last year.
The vehicle failed to stop following the crash in Ladies Lane at around 9.40pm. The 59-year-old died of her injuries six weeks later.
Greater Manchester Police this morning (August 31) arrested a 31-year-old man and 26-year-old woman over her death. A 32-year-old man was arrested after her death and was released under investigation, police said at the time. He said: “Whilst arrests have been made, we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, has dash cam footage, or has any information, to contact us – you can do so in confidence. "This occurred on bonfire night, in a busy area which may help jog some people’s memories.
