A husband and wife are being treated in hospital after being rescued from a blaze in Renfrew last night.The man, aged 66, and his 50-year-old wife are said to be in a stable condition after being pulled from their Cumbrae Road home, which was deliberately set alight.The pair were sleeping when they awoke at around midnight to the sound of their front door being set on fire.They called the emergency services who were on the scene within minutes.The coupe were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where they are still receiving treatment for smoke inhalation.They are in a stable condition.Detective Inspector David Wagstaff said: “We are appealing for witnesses and anyone who saw anything suspicious in that area at midnight last night to come
