A young man who tragically died after a tree struck his car in the chaos of Storm Eowyn has been identified. An Garda Síochána released the name of the victim on Saturday morning as 20-year-old Kacper Dudek.
According to reports from the Irish Mirror, Kacper was born in Poland, but grew up in Lifford, Donegal. The body of the young man has been taken from the crash site at Feddyglass, Raphoe, Donegal, to Letterkenny University Hospital's mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination.
The N14 road remains sealed off as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are expected to fully examine the scene on Saturday morning.
The Irish Mirror reported that Mr Dudek was carrying a U-turn after coming across an accident during the early hours of Friday morning.
