It is understood armed police are currently stationed in the quiet residential street.Nearby streets have been sealed off and cars diverted from the area.
It is not clear what the incident is, but locals claim it is a hostage situation. Police have said they are responding to reports of concern for a person and there is 'no risk to the wider public.
