A road in Oldham town centre is closed after the front of a building collapsed onto the street in strong winds brought by Storm Isha.
Fire crews, police officers and council workers were called to 'reports of a building in danger of collapsing' on Yorkshire Street just before 4.30pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
A stretch of the road was closed off inspections were carried out. Councillor Chris Goodwin, Oldham Council's cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said the façade of the building fell onto the pavement in the closed-off area overnight as the strong gusts continued.
