Police remain at the private garden which is thought to have once been owned by convicted sex offender Christian Brueckner where he may have once lived.
Detectives have discovered and searched the cellar of a gazebo which had once stood at the vegetable garden, according to German media.
This morning ground-penetrating radar equipment arrived at the site, which is near Hanover in Germany. Forensic specialists with sniffer dogs were seen in the garden and authorities were using large earth-moving machinery to dig up the entire backyard, according to local news reports.
