The M65 is to remain closed "for some time" police have said after a serious crash overnight. The motorway was closed off in both directions between junction five, Guide, and junction six, Blackburn at about 9pm last night (September 6).
And it remains shut this morning (September 7) while collision investigators continue their examination of the scene. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police told Lancs Live: "We are currently at the scene of a road closure on the M65.
The road is closed between J5 and J7 in both directions. The road is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time."
