Love Island has been slapped with more than 1,000 Ofcom complaints concerning the addition of contestant Danny Bibby.The 25 year old entered the villa on July 15 as a bombshell, however, fans of the ITV2 dating series immediately called for him to be removed after discovering he had used a racial slur in an Instagram comment from 2019.
Ofcom received a staggering 1,081 complaints following Danny's debut episode, and a further 426 complaints were sent to the British regulating platform following the episode on July 18.
Since viewers discovered his offensive comment, ITV confirmed Danny would be staying in the villa and issued an apology statement from him.
