Love Island 2022 kicked off tonight, with a host of sexy singletons heading into the villa on a mission to find love. Following a shock twist, which was revealed on ITV's Lorraine last week by Love Island voiceover Iain Sterling, viewers at home were able to pick who went with who in the couplings for the first time in the show's history.Usually the first coupling sees the Islanders pick who they fancy, but this year the public have played cupid. The first Love Island couplings of 2022 are now finally here, and first up was Michael Owen's daughter Gemma Owen, 19, who was paired up with 22 year old Liam Llewellyn.

Paige Thorne, 24, was coupled up with tattooed hunk Luca Bish, 23 – who actually has some tattoos that look very much like Harry Styles'.This couple even got down to the nitty gritty when they discussed sex positions, with Paige divulging that her personal favourite was the "broken eagle".

Dami Hope, 26, who has an unusual birthmark on his penis was paired up with the stunning Amber Beckford, 24 – but these two didn't seem thrilled by the pairing, with fans noting how they both looked "raging".

While hotel waitress Indiyah Polack, 23, and the ultra hunky Ikenna Ekwonna, 23, were next to be struck by cupid's arrow. The public thought that the first deaf contestant Tasha Ghouri, 23, suited Andrew Le Page, 27, the most out of the male offering – even though he usually goes for brunettes.
