Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction
Louis Tomlinson has broken his social media silence to hint at some positive news, following the tragic loss of his friend and former bandmate Liam Payne who was laid to rest last week.
The 32-year-old One Direction star took to his Instagram stories today to tease new music, sharing a photo of a makeshift guitar capo he crafted from a bright yellow pen, just one week on from Liam's funeral.Louis appears to be hard at work writing lyrics and creating melodies for upcoming tunes as he simply captioned the snap: "DIY".His post comes after Louis revealed that he and Liam had plans to collaborate on new music, during a heartfelt tribute to his former One Direction colleague following his untimely death last month, the Mirror reports.Louis shared a lengthy post on Instagram a day after the star tragically fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina, revealing news that would have thrilled all 1D fans if it had come to pass.Louis stated that the pair had frequently discussed making music together, hoping to recapture their chemistry from their band days.

Accompanied by a photo of the two sharing a warm embrace and smiles, Louis wrote: "Liam was an incredible songwriter with a great sense of melody, we often spoke of getting back in the studio together to try and recreate the writing chemistry we had built up in the band."And for the record, Liam was in my opinion the most vital part of One Direction.
