Loose Women star Sophie Morgan said British Airways will pay for damage to her wheelchair after she flew with the airline. The 38-year-old told fans on social media that her Batec, an attachment for a wheelchair that turns it into a mobility hand bike, was not working when she picked it up after leaving the plane.

Sophie has been a user of a wheelchair since she was 18 after being involved in a car accident that left her paralysed from the chest down.Taking to her Instagram stories on Saturday, she told fans while fighting back tears: “British Airways have said they are going to pay for any repairs or replacements that I need, because there’s an electric fault that’s happened.“I don’t know how yet, I haven’t got to the bottom (of it but) I’m grateful for that… So, all things considered, it could be a lot worse, but it just shouldn’t be the case in the first place.”She said there needs to be a “greater kind of commitment” from airlines that prevents damage and goes further then “apologies and compensation”.The TV personality noted that this isn't the first time she's experienced this on an airline and she will have a meeting with BA to discuss the issue further.

Following the incident, she said on social media: "I'm absolutely f****** raging. British Airways have broken my Batec. I arrived at the airport and it was working."Now I'm reunited with it off the back of the plane and it's not working. [It's got] some kind of electrical fault, it's not connecting when I turn the key and so what does that tell you?

It's been manhandled."Morgan said: “I honestly don’t think I can actually take much more of this. I was just told to put a complaint in through the website again.
