ITV Loose Women viewers were told the show was being brought to a close early today as Ruth Langsford addressed them. The popular daytime programme usually runs from 12.30 - 1.30PM in the slot straight after This Morning.
But as Tuesday's episode kicked off, host Ruth had an update for people watching at home. She said: "This is your Tuesday and it's nice to have your company [but] we are going to have to keep it short and sweet for you today. "It's just a 30-minute show and we have a lot to pack in so we better get on with it." ITV News was scheduled to air at 1pm in the shake-up to normal proceedings on the channel.
That meant that the coverage of Royal Ascot could take place from 1.30PM - 6PM and it's going to be that way all this week. Other shows which will be affected include The Chase and Tipping Point and fans of those will need to wait until Monday, June 26 for the next instalment.Royal Ascot was one of the late Queen's favourite events on the horse racing calendar and it takes place ever June.
King Charles will follow in his mum's footsteps and be in attendance every day this year.Earlier we reported Loose Women presenter Ruth had publicly praised her husband Eamonn Holmes following his very vocal comments about the Phillip Schofield affair.
