Denise Welch left fans doing a double take as she was supported by her co-stars, celebrity pals and followers as she gave the first glimpse of herself in her new role.

The Loose Women star transformed into the late Queen Elizabeth II for her new theatre role. Denise is portraying the late monarch in Diana the Musical which is described as telling the "dazzling and devastating" life of Princess Diana in an original musical by writers David Bryan and Joe DiPietro .with a score penned by Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan.

On Monday night (December 4), Denise took to the stage at the Hammersmith Apollo in London for the show's opening night alongside West End star Kerry Ellis as Diana.

The presenter and former Coronation Street star is guest-starring in the role and after taking to the stage, Denise posted a photo of herself dressed as the Queen on Instagram grid.
