Police have launched an appeal after a spate of pigeon thefts in Dumbarton and the Vale.In the first incident reported, ten prize Belgian pigeons were stolen overnight between Wednesday June 10 and Thursday June 11 from a loft in Hawthorn Way, Dumbarton.Then, overnight between Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14, 30kg of pigeon feed was stolen from a loft in Millburn Crescent, Dumbarton, with a second loft damaged and 20 pigeons released or stolen.Eight racing pigeons were then stolen in another overnight raid, between Monday June 15 and Tuesday June 16 from a loft in Alexander Street, Alexandria.And police are now appealing for anyone with information connected to the incident to come forward.A spokesperson said: “Pigeon racing is a sport
