EXCLUSIVE: Buffalo Bills fans will be the subject of the feature-length documentary Just One Before I Die from co-directors Addison Henderson (The Forgotten City, Givers of Death) and Kevin Polowy (Standing Up, Falling Down, In the Shadow of Beirut).

Briana White would be lying if she said that sometimes carrying the weight of playing the iconic flower girl, Aerith Gainsborough, didn’t affect her at all. But miraculously, after metaphorically stepping into the character’s well-traveled leather boots these last four years from Final Fantasy VII Remake to its recent predecessor Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, she’s gained the strength to manage. “[It’s] really hard sometimes for me as an actor to let go of all the expectation and let go of what everyone might be thinking about or perceiving about a specific scene,” said White. “It’s one of the biggest challenges, but something that’s so crucial to the performance is being able to let go of everything outside the booth. I consider myself to be very resilient…I think that’s something Aerith [and I] have in common.” 

Ahead of the game’s Feb 29, 2024 launch, Square Enix invited Deadline to play through two early sections of the upcoming title– that also debuted at this year’s Tokyo Game Show—which serves as the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. The new game starts right where Final Fantasy VII Remake left off with Team Avalanche’s Cloud (Cody Christian), Aerith (Briana White), Tifa (Britt Baron), Barret (John Eric Bentley) and Red XIII (Max Mittelman) leaving Midgar to confront the boundless, terrifying freedom that awaits them on their journey to The Forgotten Capital.

The Forgotten City is releasing on Nintendo Switch today but will require an online connection to play.Nintendo’s cloud gaming system allows players to play games using a server that does most of the heavy lifting. This has allowed Control and Hitman 3 to come to the console.
