Zack Sharf Meghan Markle returned to her “Archetypes” podcast on Spotify for the first time since the death of Queen Elizabeth II and devoted the new episode to Hollywood’s long persistent Asian stereotype of the “Dragon Lady.” Markle called out two films, “Austin Powers” and “Kill Bill,” for being harmful in how they depicted Asian women as over-sexualized and/or over-agressive. “Movies like ‘Austin Powers’ and ‘Kill Bill’ presented these characters of Asian women as oftentimes over sexualized or aggressive,” Markle said. “And it’s not just those two examples, there’s so many more…This has seeped into a lot of our entertainment. But this toxic stereotyping of women of Asian descent, it doesn’t just end once the credits roll.”

Netflix has released the full list of movies and television shows that are heading to the streaming service beginning on September 1, 2022.

Chris Pratt has responded to critics of his Amazon Prime series The Terminal List, touting the show's success after it was panned by a number of critics.The series, which casts the Minnesota native, 43, as Navy SEAL James Reece, has been racking up big numbers for the streaming service, garnering more than 1.6 billion minutes since its July 1 debut.The show has received a 40 percent score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with an audience score of 94 percent. Zack Sharf Vulture marked the 20th anniversary of “Austin Powers in Goldmember” with an oral history devoted to Beyoncé’s role in the blockbuster comedy as Foxxy Cleopatra. One of the biggest revelations comes courtesy of the film’s makeup artist Kate Biscoe, who revealed that Beyoncé called out the marketing team for changing her appearance on one of the movie’s posters. Beyoncé felt the poster made her too skinny, so the marketing team re-did the one-sheet.“When we were shooting, someone brought her a poster that would be promoting the movie,” Biscoe said.

Hollywood Reporter.The “Silver Linings Playbook” director, 63, noted how several of Myers’ movies have splurged out memorable music, including Madonna’s “Beautiful Stranger.”The chat then shifted to Beyoncé, who made her film debut as Foxxy Cleopatra in the Jay Roach flick.The Canadian-born funnyman stated that everyone on set “fell in love with her.” Myers also joked that costar Michael Caine had trouble pronouncing the Grammy winner’s name and left off the “é.”“Nobody wanted to correct him,” Myers said, adding that he also introduced the “Dreamgirls” star to Led Zeppelin.“’I don’t know this Led Zeppelin,’” Myers remembered Beyoncé saying at the time. However, just a few days later during shooting “Austin Powers in Goldmember,” Myers found her jamming out to the band on her headphones.

Mike Myers has something to share for his movie fans. Durign a recent interview on SiriusXM radio, Myers teased fans on a potential fourth movie of the "Austin Powers" series being in the works.  "I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or nonexistence of such a project, should it exist or not exist," Myers said on "The Jess Cagle Podcast w/ Julia Cunningham." Mike Myers has left the door open to the possibility of a fourth movie in the "Austin Powers" franchise.
