Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reportedly labelled Diego Carlos as the 'perfect' signing as the Reds battle Barcelona for his signature.
The Sevilla defender has attracted major interest following his La Liga performances this term. Carlos will command a fee of around £70m for those wanting to acquire his services, which looks likely to rule Barcelona out.
Spanish outlet Sport claim Liverpool aren't put off by the price tag and are ready to 'blast their rivals out the water' with a substantial offer.
The newspaper writes that Klopp is keen on Carlos, who he sees an ideal partner for Virgil van Dijk. Barcelona aren't likely to have money available for the centre-back due to their transfer priorities.
