Brighton on a three-year-deal. The 32-year-old will not play again for Liverpool after sealing an agreement with Jurgen Klopp which means he will not be considered for their final game of the Premier League season against Newcastle.
The England international had fallen out of favour at Anfield of late, but has still managed to make 178 appearances for the club while picking up Premier League and Champions League winners’ medals.
Although he no longer fits into his first-team plans, Klopp recently described the playmaker as being both a ‘legend’ which the midfielder has since brushed off.Goal have reported that the deal with Brighton will be confirmed next week, and it will take the former Southampton man up to his 33rd birthday.
