Liverpool are reportedly prepared to let Sepp van den Berg depart on loan in the January window - despite the club's ongoing centre-back injury crisis.
The Reds have seen each of their senior options in central defence succumb to injury this season, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez long-term absentees and Joel Matip suffering a series of minor complaints.
The crisis has propelled 19-year-old Rhys Williams and Under-23 player Nat Phillips into the first-team spotlight. Van den Berg, 19, has spent most of the season with the Under-23s but has also been named on the bench by Jurgen Klopp as centre-back cover.
