Liverpool were denied a major opportunity to take the lead over Manchester United when referee Paul Tierney blew the half-time whistle - with six seconds to go.
The Reds saw the first half of their clash with the Red Devils get stopped with 10 seconds of time left to play.Fourth official Craig Pawson put up one minute of additional time to be played after a first half which saw both sides fail to threaten the goal posts.Sadio Mane was about to be played in with a through-ball from Xherdan Shaqiri when Tierney blew the whistle.
With six seconds still left to play on the clock, fans of Jurgen Klopp and his side were left fuming as the teams were sent back to the tunnel.
