Liverpool could secure millions from a clause inserted in the terms of Luis Alberto's transfer to Lazio by sporting director Michael Edwards way back in 2016.
The Spanish midfielder had joined the Premier League club from Sevilla in 2013 for a fee of £6.3m, but he failed to have the desired impact and was sold in 2016.
That deal with Lazio saw the club earn £4.3m plus add ons, and they could yet benefit from another lump sum should his fine form see him find a new challenge in the summer.Having managed 15 goals and 17 assists across the past two seasons in Italy, the 28-year-old won’t be short of options should Lazio decide to cash in.
