Premier League clubs are returning to training today as they begin preparations to get the 2019/20 campaign finished. Coronavirus has seen the season suspended for two months, with the last top-flight game to have taken place being Leicester’s 4-0 thrashing of Aston Villa on Monday, March 9.
Steps have been taken since regarding how football can return safely, with Project Restart in full force. Monday saw clubs vote over a resumption of training in small groups and the results were unanimously in favour of a return.
The Premier League has subsequently given the all clear for teams to work in their small groups from today. It is a huge day for football in the country, especially after the Scottish Premiership season was cancelled
