Mark Lanegan track, has been released ahead of the ‘Bubblegum’ reissue.Back in July, a post was shared on the late Screaming Trees frontman’s social media accounts which first hinted at a possible posthumous release.“We appreciate your kind & loving words over the last 2 years.

There is lots of news to share with you very soon,” read the caption of the post – which marked the first to be shared on Lanegan’s social media accounts since his passing in 2022.It was then announced by Lanegan’s estate that a ‘Bubblegum’ boxset would be released to celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary – and would include 12 previously unreleased songs.Now, an outtake from the 2004 album, ‘Heard a Train’, is available for streaming.‘Bubblegum XX’ will arrive on August 23 through Beggars Arkive, the catalogue and archive department of Beggars Group.

There’s a remastered double LP edition of the album, as well as a 4XLP/3XCD/Digital release with 40 mastered tracks.Not only that, but the 4XLP box also contains a 64-page hardcover book with essays by Lanegan’s former collaborators – and Queens of the Stone Age bandmates Josh Homme and Troy Van Leeuwen – as well as the likes of Duff McKagan and Greg Dulli.

It also contains studio notes and previously unseen photos by Steve Gullick.As Homme notes in his essay on his late collaborator’s demos and unreleased tracks: “Mark’s early solo works are undeniably powerful.
