Line of Duty star Vicky McClure is bringing her daytime clubbing extravaganza back to Scotland. Vicky, husband Jonny Owen and Reverend and the Makers' Jon McLure created the disco event with a difference - Day Fever - earlier this year and the trio were left blown away by the response across the country.

The group of friends decided to launch the clubbing experience for over 30s keen to get their dancing shoes on with the aim of creating a space that's all about 'fun, freedom and fabulous tunes'.The astonishing appetite for a nightclub in the afternoon saw Day Fever completely sell out across the UK and its debut in Glasgow, saw Vicky's Scots co-star Martin Compston join 800 clubbers for a daytime boogie.

Greenock-born Compston did a stage dive and was passed over the heads of the crowd when the event was held at the Barras in April.

Vicky, 41, Jonny and Jon wanted to facilitate a disco for “people of a certain age” to dress up enjoy the best chart music from 1955 to the turn of the century.The event was meant to be a one off event in Sheffield's City Hall Ballroom, but soon exploded into a nationwide phenomenon, and it is now heading back to Scotland. "Travelling up and down the country and seeing so many people enjoying themselves has been such a joy,” says Vicky. “We’re thrilled that people feel comfortable at DAY FEVER.
