Argentinian officials are appealing against the decision of a judge who excused herself from looking into Liam Payne's death.The One Direction star's death is under investigation after he fell from the third floor of his Buenos Aires hotel suite on October 16, aged just 31.

Following the heartbreak, three individuals were apprehended but faced with an "impasse", preventing prosecutors from interrogating the suspects — something they're determined to resolve.

Public prosecutor Andres Madrea is set to argue today (Monday, 2 December) for Judge Laura Bruniard to persist in her investigation into the suspect trio, despite claims that Liam was deserted before his fatal balcony fall at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel following indulgence in alcohol and substances.

Last month, TMZ reported that the judge directed local rather than national prosecutors to take over due to the abandonment allegations, which haven't yet resulted in any formal accusations.
