The death of Liam Payne has left fans and authorities puzzled, as officials in Argentina continue to describe the cause as "undetermined." The former One Direction star tragically died last month at the age of 31 while on holiday in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
He suffered a fatal fall from the third floor of a hotel, with an autopsy confirming that Liam died on impact due to "multiple traumatic injuries" leading to "internal and external haemorrhage." Yet, the circumstances preceding Liam's devastating fall remain unclear to Argentinian officials. This past Tuesday, it was revealed that local law enforcement is questioning five individuals, following news that two hotel employees are now under formal investigation.
Among those being scrutinised is a chief receptionist at the hotel, who had dialled 999 for urgent medical help for Liam before his balcony fall and was also seen in images helping to carry him to his room just moments before the incident.
The distressing image raised alarms about the behaviour of staff at CasaSur Palermo Hotel, particularly their decision not to leave the musician in the lobby while waiting for emergency assistance.
