Foo Fighters have announced the full list of artists performing at a tribute concert for their late drummer Taylor Hawkins, which includes Manchester’s own Liam Gallagher.
The special concert is set to take place at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3, honouring the life of the talented musician who died in March this year.
The list of all-star support acts was announced shortly after 9am this morning (June 15), and includes Queen’s Brian May, Supergrass, Mark Ronson and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age. READ MORE:Noel Gallagher at Delamere Forest times, support, set list and parking Following the announcement, Liam Gallagher described the support slot as an ‘honour’, writing: “It’s an absolute honour to be invited to kick out the jams for Taylor Hawkins won’t let you down brother LG x” Completing the line up is Chris Chaney, Stewart Copeland, Omar Hakim, Chrissie Hynde, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Roger Taylor, Rufus Taylor, Wolfgang Van Halen, Chevy Metal and Dave Chappelle.
Hawkins, who had been the band’s drummer since 1997, passed away on March 25 in Colombia, age 50. His cause of death is unknown.
