Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.West Lothian continues to sit below the national average for Covid-19 despite having to enter into Level Four on Boxing Day.Nicola Sturgeon announced at the weekend that all local authorities would move into lockdown but the latest Public Health Scotland numbers show that the infection numbers continue to drop in the county.The latest Public Health Scotland (PHS) data as of December 21 reveals that there were 35 new Covid-19 cases in West Lothian, 187 over a seven day period and a total of 4088 since the first person tested positive in the county on March 9.This means West Lothian had 187 positive Covid-19 cases per 100,000 of the population.
