Late night drama as HGV 'deliberately' rams into East Kilbride house

iOS - Android Reports of the incident have circulated on social media, with one shocked eyewitness saying the truck "hit the house, reversed and then hit it again" before "fleeing up the street".

A heavy goods vehicle thought to be involved in the incident was found abandoned in a nearby supermarket car park, with police tape round it and a police patrol car next to it.A nearby resident wrote online: “We stay the street behind it and there’s a lot of noise just now banging and drilling - sounds like they’re maybe trying to stabilise the foundations to get the family’s things out.”“A few of my daughter’s friends stay in the street, so walked round to see if anyone needed water, blankets somewhere to go for the night and it was awful to see.
